Audio but no video from posted .mov files

    Hi there,
I've uploaded some .mov files in a "project room" at the website of a company I work for in order to share with some other workers. I can see the files at the site and when I click on them they play however I get audio only and no video. The original files do play properly on my computer (via Quicktime).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

How exactly did you upload those files?
    Can you provide a link?

Do you have the latest codecs installed? (Sounds like a codec issue)

Posting a link would be nice

My fav codec's are from Shark007. http://shark007.net/ The Vista codecs work for both XP and Vista. (You do NOT need Quicktime when you load these codecs and they will work with any media player that uses external codecs.)

You could also use VLC which has all the codecs it needs as part of it's own files. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Thanks for the replies. I'd rather not post the link for privacy reasons. The companies I work are in film production and usually have "client log on" areas at their websites in order to post references for projects. I recorded a bunch of short videos and uploaded them to the site as Quicktime files. I did this using the site's upload utility. The files appear at the site with the "Q" Quicktime logo. When I click on the files a player opens the files however I get audio only. I did download and install the Shark007 codec pack although that doesn't seem to help. Again, the original files do play properly on my computer, just not the posted ones. I've emailed one of the IT people from the company, I'm just not sure I'll hear from them over the weekend. Thanks for any suggestions.

What happened when you loaded the Shark007 codecs and then tried to view the files? Nothing? Audio only again? If you still had Quicktime on the PC and that installation is hosed, you may have to uninstall it, uninstall the Shark007 codecs and then reinstall the codecs.

What/which OS's are the other clients using? If Windows 7 see this short thread on my codec experience with W7...

From what I can tell, the problem is with Firefox. Apparently there is no H.264 plugin for Firefox. The people I work with tend to use Mac. Safari plays the videos I posted, just not Firefox. Seems strange.
