Interesting!!
I have used Ie 6.0 since the getgo and have never had a problem.
I have a high powered system,(Athlon 800 Tbird,256 Mb. Ram running W2k.)
I wonder if maybe the problems experienced by many users is that Ie 6.0 places extreme demands on the OS and the computer?(purely speculation on my part as I cannot categorically state that Ie 6.0 needs a high powered p.c.)

Hi:
I just d/l'd IE6 (to file) from the Update site this afternoon. Not usually big on Betas I really did some hard thinking before I actually ran the install. But WOW am I ever glad I did. This is simply the fastest browser I've used and there is not a problem in site.
I 'only' have a Celeron 700 w/256mb ram and this baby purrs like a kitten with IE6.
My belief is that people need to carefully prepare for an installaton such as this. Installing a program that is so heavily integrated into the OS needs some special consideration. I did a thorough cleanup, scan disked and defragged all drives, rebooted, shut down all running programs then ran the install. Seamless.
Nice going, Bill!

Sikorski, I tried IE 6 also, and it was faster than 5.5, but I had already tried Opera so it was a needless comparison. Opera smokes.
