In a Word document: Header, footer, sider?
Using XP and Word 2003.
I want to type a Word document.
I know how to and do use headers and footers. The information in my header/footer is protected against anything I might type in my document.
What can I do if the information I want protected is on the side of the page? Is there anyway to create what I might call a sider and not have this information affected by whatever else I later type in the rest of the document?

Will look at your sites in a moment, but I have gotten to the point where I have a text box, which will do what I want. The problem, now, is that the text box is bounded on each side by a border. Now, I need to remove the border.

Thanks. Got it working. I had a border, but opened a text box dialogue box and painted the border white.
Appreciate your help and time.
