Question No display on just-repaired computer

Help help! I just got my computer back from the shop; and for reasons I can't figure out, I don't have a display. I plugged in all the obvious (I think) plugs, but when I try to boot up, there is no picture.

I'm wondering whether it's failing to get power. I just don't know what thing is supposed to be plugged in. I can call the guy tomorrow, but it would be nice to get an answer sooner.

    Arrrrgh.

If your computer has both an on-the-motherboard video connection and an add-in video card, you need to connect the video cable to the correct plug. Make sure you get power lights on both the computer and monitor when you turn them on.

One of the ram chips could have come loose. It's hard to say. You can try reseating different parts.

A little more info would help Tremendously. What type of computer (Dell, HP, Compaq, Sony, Gateway, Selfbuild etc...). What Operating System does the computer have? Does everything seem to power up when you turn it on (fans, lights etc...)? Can you hear the Hard Drive spinning up? Are you familiar with the insides of your computer?

Opt#1 - Does this computer have Onboard Video?
Opt#2 - Does your computer have a Video Card?
Opt#3 - Does your computer have both Onboard Video and a Video Card?

Resolved My brilliant son (17) played with a few things, and fixed it!!

Kids today. They had him taking "Keyboarding" in middle school. They're great.

I know a lot, thanks to you guys, but he's probably going to be way ahead of me soon.
