Dude111--Thanks for the heads up.
I filled out every line of thier form.... WITH BOGUS DATA)
But now they have your email and/or IP address.
It might be a good time to scan with your antimalware programs to be sure you did not pick anything up while visiting.
P.S. .ie is Ireland--unusual for a dishonest site.

SpywareDr--Nothing from WOT using IE?
Neither foreignafares.ie nor foreignafares is in the MVPS HOSTS.zip file.
Regarding your IE screenshot I see a little icon to the left of the 100% Zoom button in the Status bar. I do not think I have seen that icon before.

The icon is for IE8's "InPrivate Filtering".
Windows Internet Explorer > Help > InPrivate: frequently asked questions > What is InPrivate Filtering?
InPrivate Filtering helps prevent website content providers from collecting information about sites you visit. Here's how it works.
Many webpages use content—such as advertisements, maps, or web analysis tools—from websites other than the one you are visiting. These websites are called content providers or third-party websites. When you visit a website with third-party content, some information about you is sent to the content provider. If a content provider offers content to a large number of the websites you visit, the content provider could develop a profile of your browsing preferences. Profiles of browsing preferences can be used in a variety of ways, including for analysis and serving targeted advertisements.
Usually this third-party content is displayed seamlessly, such as in an embedded video or image. The content appears to originate from the website you originally went to, so you may not know that another website might be able to see where you are surfing. Web analysis or web measurement tools report website visitors' browsing habits, and are not always obvious to you. While these tools can sometimes appear as visible content (such as a visitor counter, for example), they are often not visible to users, as is often the case with web beacons. Web beacons are typically single-pixel transparent images whose sole purpose is to track website usage, and they do not appear as visible content.
InPrivate Filtering works by analyzing web content on the webpages you visit, and if it sees the same content being used on a number of websites, it will give you the option to allow or block that content. You can also choose to have InPrivate Filtering automatically block any content provider or third-party website it detects, or you can choose to turn off InPrivate Filtering.

InPrivate Filtering
Today websites increasingly pull content in from multiple sources, providing tremendous value to consumer and sites alike. Users are often not aware that some content, images, ads and analytics are being provided from third party websites or that these websites have the ability to potentially track their behavior across multiple websites. InPrivate Filtering provides users an added level of control and choice about the information that third party websites can potentially use to track browsing activity.
InPrivate Filtering is off by default and must be enabled on a per-session basis. To use this feature, select InPrivate Filtering from the Safety menu. To access and manage different filtering options for Internet Explorer 8, select InPrivate Filtering Settings from the Safety menu. ...
Note: Because InPrivate Filtering is designed to watch for and block only third-party content that appears with a high frequency across sites you visit, no content is blocked until such levels are detected, nor is any such content blocked which is served directly by the site you are visiting.
Depending on your web browsing activity and sites visited, the amount of time it can take before such content is automatically blocked can vary widely. However, at any time, you can customize which third-party content is blocked or allowed in the InPrivate Filtering Settings option from the Safety menu. (Or press [Ctrl-Shift-F]. Think "F" for "F"iltering).

Note that there is another, different IE8 "InPrivate" feature called "InPrivate Browsing", (sometimes referred to as "Porn Mode").

InPrivate Browsing
When checking e-mail at an Internet café or shopping for a gift on a family PC, you don't want to leave any trace of specific web browsing activity. InPrivate Browsing in Internet Explorer 8 helps prevent your browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and usernames and passwords from being retained by the browser, leaving no evidence of your browsing or search history.
You can start InPrivate Browsing by opening a new tab and selecting Browse with InPrivate or selecting it from the Safety button on the top right corner of the browser window. (Or press [Ctrl-Shift-P]. Think "P" for "P"rivate). Once you complete this action, Internet Explorer 8 will launch a new browser session that won't record any information, including searches or webpage visits. To end your InPrivate Browsing session, simply close the browser window.

SpywareDr--
Thanks for all the info and answers.
WOT is a Firefox (only) Add-on.
I use IE7 and have WOT installed and showing its colored rings near the top right of the Toolbar. http://www.mywot.com/en/download/ie There seem to be two versions.
Also Google searches (using IE) now show the rings (with the color WOT feels appropriate) next to many of the references--before the references are opened.
(concerning foreignafares)

Good idea. I have done so.
