Removed Service pack 3 and now can't defrag
My boss called me today and after insalling service pack 3 he had some issues and decided to remove it and go back to service pack 2. He now says when he tries to defrag the PC he gets a windows message that states the MMC cannot open, the file may have been deleted. Any idea how to fix this?

If referring to the built-in defragmenter,
Following instructions/link,
Cheers.

It might also be time to run the System File Checker.

Some things to try and a workaround at:http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/...rgmsc-problem/
I had this problem about a year ago and finally fixed it but cannot remember how. As I recall I was able to run defrag by going to Programs/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Disk Defragmenter.
