Memory requirement for Windows 7
I am thinking about buying a second mini netbook. The first netbook I own runs Windows XP with 1 gb of ram and it runs great. I know Vista didn't run very well on 1gb of ram and just wonder if Windows 7 will also need a lot of ram to run good like Vista did?

Mileage will vary, but Win7 should run better than Vista on 1GB ram.

Windows 7 runs as well in 1 GB of RAM as Vista does in 2 GB.

Windows 7 has been designed specifically to be able to run on Netbooks, which virtually all have 1 gig, so there shouldn't be any problems at all

I would say if you can upgrade to minimum of 2 gb. While win 7(windows 6.1) will run ok with 1 gb, the more ram you have the better the computer will run.
