    Recording on-line Radio program

Hi, I want to record the on-line radio program such that I can re-listen it off-line. The recording can be done while I'm listening the same or in the background.

Please advice me how to do that. Thanks.

    I did the following process:

Download Audacity - This is a great audio recording software but it only record from the input via mic. Therefore, it doesn't suit my requirement.

Download Freecorder - I did this from download.com but got a php file. I don't know how to open and install the software.

Download EasyRadio - I installed the software, listen to the preset stations. I record about 10 to 20 sec in mp3 and wma file formats. When I double-click the file, the Windows Media Player kicks in but I can't hear the sound. I'm sure that's not my sound card/driver problem as I can hear other sound files and the radio. Second problem, I want to add a station that I can hear over the Internet via the IE or FireFox. I copied the links to the http://www.am9999.com/pop_live9999.html to the URL and www.am9999.com to the web site. Everytime I click this station, I got computer memory low and no sound at all.

    Thanks for your further advice.

Flink, thanks for your advice. It works with the Audacity and I can record to the live broadcast from the www.am9999.com.

    Thanks.

Flink, I successfully record the broadcast from the Internet but my partner can't. She does the same as me on her Toshiba, but the drop down only provides Mic Volume or CD Volume. Her laptop does not have a line in jack. What can we do?

Try patching Line out to mic in and set the line out level very low. Then try to record from the mic input. You'll need a short mini to mini stereo patch cable. Very cheap at places like Radioshack etc.

Thanks fink, I'll try that and post back the outcome, but may take couple days as my partner is not living close by.

Oddly, I still don't connect to anything through those links. All I get with each of them is that the page doesn't exist. Even typing it out.

Doing a google search for am9999 doesn't come up with anything relevant.

fink--I cannot connect, either. Maybe they are just made up URL's to explain the situation.
