Hello, just purchased a Olivetti printer Anyway photo wireless plus . see http://www.olivetti.com/site/public/...d=1&code=B9353

Can i connect by wi-fi???????

The Olivetti program when trying to instal the wi-fi software, searches for the appropiate software whatever, comes back saying, cannot locate it, so cannot click on it to proceed. In Device manager, Network adapters, it has a Atheros Ar5007 802.11b/g wi-fi adapter, i updated its software. Also, Network and sharing, printer and Nretwork are both set to ON, if that makes a difference.

If not, what exactly do i need?

It works USB connected ok.

Installation
For correct installation of the printer in Wi-Fi mode:
• Carry out USB installation
• Activate the Wi-Fi component of the printer
To enable wireless communication from the computer, use the software of the printer (Toolbox
application) selecting Ad-Hoc mode (peer to peer) or Infrastructure (with point of access)
note: Initially, the photo wireless model is set to connection via Bluetooth; enabling the Wireless
connection, Bluetooth is automatically disabled: the two connections cannot be active at the same time.
• Create the network connection between the computer and the printer
• Perform Wi-Fi installation
To add the printer to the list of printers available in the system.
USB and Wi-Fi installation are carried out using the same "Installation" CD-Rom provided with the
printer; on completion, it will be possible to use the connection via USB cable and Wi-Fi mode.

The printer can be connected directly to a computer (Ad-Hoc mode) or via an existing wireless network (Infrastructure mode):
Ad-Hoc (Peer-to-Peer) (factory setting): The printer communicates directly with the computer; to create the connection, both must have a wireless adapter.
Check that the computer to be connected to the printer is equipped with a wireless device and that this is active; consult the operator guide provided with the computer.
Use of the Ad-Hoc mode is generally restricted to simple, reduced-size wireless networks as there is a considerable downgrading of performance after connecting several network peripherals.

Checked in Olivetti Toolbox, selecting Ad-Hoc mode (peer to peer) or Infrastructure (with point of access)

No mention of the above there at all???

I have downloaded Vista Drivers as the Original CD that came with it, does not have Vista.

Hello Train, ones 64 Bit, my computers 32.
I have already tried the two options, burned to disc, self extracting.

Also, found this doing a search, how do i find out this.

The Wi-Fi setup is a bit fiddly, as you have to get the correct wireless settings to the printer before disconnecting the USB cable, to force it to communicate through the ether.
