if you haven't upgraded my recommendation is, don't. I just spent the last two hours on a useless detour from version 9 to version 10 and back to version 9.

Please elaborate. What is it that caused problems or that you felt was lacking.

well, despite the fact that settings were supposed to be inherited from the previous version, my instant messengers would not connect, my browser would not load webpages in their entirety. Parts of the page would load, but they wouldn't finish. Sometimes they would upon refresh but took a very long time.
The settings are much more difficult to find now. I put my browser and IM into trusted applications, told it not to scan http traffic, basically all the things I had done with the previous version, but to no avail. I then right click on the tray icon and exit the program only to discover that the executables were still running. In addition, they would not allow me to terminate them via TaskManager. At this point I had no more difficulty with IMs or pages loading, however I could not get the program fully back. The executables were running, and if I click on the plug-in in my e-mail program, the GUI would come up, but there was no system tray icon, and the program was not fully running. In short, just about everything that could be wrong went wrong. I had to reboot to get the program back completely, into functional run mode. At that point I again had all the above-mentioned problems.
I uninstalled and reinstalled 2009. All problems disappeared.
