Will you be upgrading to Windows 7?
I'm pretty sure that I will be. After the Vista hype and then realized that I should have taken then advice of so many other, which was NOT to install Vista, I'm pretty sure that I can without a doubt say that I wll be updating to Windows 7. I have Windows XP and Vista installed and notice that everytime I boot, I always have selected to uses Windows 7 RC. How do you feel? Will you be installing Windows 7 when it's release? Do you know of bugs that would prevent you from installing Windows 7? Let me know.
Will update soon

My present PC is over five years old. It only has 1GB RAM. Too little for Win7.
I will probably buy a new PC soon, so then, yes, I will be upgrading to Win7 in the near future.

I already have done. I am totally impressed with Win 7, it is the first new OS that I've ever used that appears to be almost bug free (I've found 2 very minor ones is all). And it really lives up to all the hype too, it is far faster and more responsive than Vista, and without the annoying aggravations that Vista had. I would thoroughly recommend Win 7 to anyone

I will definitely be upgrading. I have been running Win 7 RC on my gaming computer, which replaced a older gaming computer runng XP. I have been very happy with it.
I have only had a brief experieince with Vista as I had to rebuild my wife's computer recently. The new build is 64 bit, so rather than wasting money on XP 64 bit for 3 months, I bought Vista 64 bit with the included upgrade to Win 7. I can now appreciate the complaints about Vista versus XP or Win 7. I can only imagine the issues at Vista release.
If life was simple then it would be no fun.
Regards, Mike

Nope.
Fiddled around with the Windows7 RC.
No features of any serious interest in Windows7.
Cheers.

I think that Microsoft should give free copies of Windows 7 to Vista owners. To make up for an bad OS that hasn't lived up to it's name.
Will update soon

Not at this time, as my hardware is also old (a Dell Dimension 8200) and as such, doesn't support
Directx 9 and currently, does not have the required amount of RAM (and RAMBUS RAM is very hard / costly to find) .. but when it does get replaced in a few years or so, then it will have the newest OS at
the time.

I have been using Win 7 since January version 7000.
Love it to bits.
I'll not be upgrading. It's a full Clean Install for me.

Tinkertron, I posted this reply in the wrong forum last night, asked it moved but not enough time has elapsed to allow that so I have c/p it here and I don't knowingly double post but I assume this doing just that.)
I bought my new Dell Inspiron 546MT for the express purpose of getting the free upgrade to Win7--anything is better than this Vista Home Premium. Of course, I am loving the added speed; etc on the new machine.
And I applied for and received an invitation to attend one of the lectures to be held in Miami on Sept 22 and I will be going for the simple reason I am to get a new Win7 for my time; a gift from MS. That is my understanding. Anyone who has ever done this elsewhere before, please tell me I will be getting the free Win7. And thanks TIA for your troubles to reply.
PS: I have read just this morning that a 3 pack for family will be offered by MS at a cost of $150 and this is for a family presently running XP or Vista for an upgrade to Win7. Just read this in the October issue of Smart Computing. Had I known this [B]before[B] doing any of the above, I would probably have saved myself some $$, although I am enjoying the Dell Vista I bought.
