Facebook problem
Whenever I had gone to Facebook, I got a Data Execution Prevention message followed by "IE has encountered an error". I followed instructions on these boards to stop the DEP messages (editing boot.ini).
But I am still getting the "IE has encountered..." message every time on Facebook. No other sites cause this and the computer seems fine otherwise.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Try Firefox.
And what version of IE do you have?

Not sure I want to switch to Firefox just to use Facebook.

Check your ADDONs, one of them maybe causing the problem.
I tried Firefox and did my normal 6 week test.
So, I do not use IE much any more. Yep, this rig has IE8 installed.

Open IE, in the Menu go to TOOLs and select Manage Add-ons.
Click on a item, then right click and select disable/enable or after selecting a item, drop down and select the button to enable/disable as needed.

That was it! Thanks.
I went back and restored the original DEP setting. The issue was the addons not the DEP.
Thanks again.
