    Very confused by answer

I don't understand what you mean by:
    AMD64 is 64-bit CAPABLE
Does this mean that even though you said I probably have a 32 bit that the above quotes means I can run 64 bit programs? I read some of the links about the differences between the two & they state that 32 can not run anything that is for a 64 Bit but that 64 Bit can run things made for 32 bit. I am thoroughly confused.
    Thanks,
    Sheila

    A 32-bit OS cannot run 64-bit apps.
No. I meant the processor is capable of running 64-bit OSes. If you have a 32-bit OS, you CANNOT run 64-bit applications.
