[RESOLVED] Browser slow to connect in Windows 7
In the Beta version, clicking on a new IE connection would take up to 15 seconds. Same thing with a new tab in IE. After installing the "Release Candidate" that problem didn't exist.
I have been running the RC version since May and the slooooow connection has reappeared. Twenty-three seconds for an IE connection or new tab connection. I have spoken with another user who has not experienced this problem.
I have Kaspersky's Win7 beta AV, MS Office 2007, and the other usual software...Adobe Flash Player, etc., Sun Micro's Java, but not much of anything else.
I am thinking as I type, here, and it would be a good Idea to do a system restore to a date that I believe to be prior to the 'problem'. If the 'problem' is eliminated I should know that it is software originated.

Has anyone else seen this?

Try running IE without any addons and see if that makes a difference.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Well, I took the easy route. I reinstalled Win 7 and one application at a time. Currently, it takes two seconds to open a browser and a new tab is virtually instantaneous.
I will keep a record of installs and IE browser behavior.
Thanks,
rounder
