    ATDMT.com tracking cookie issues...

    So, every time I boot up my computer, I get a tracking cookie warning message from AVG (which I have installed) alerting me that a tracking cookie named 'atdmt.com' has been found.
    I always move it to the vault.
    But it seems that whenever I began a new task, or opened IE, or even went on MSN, a new alert for the same tracking cookie would appear.
    I've done some research, and discovered that it's a cookie developed by a company called 'AtlasSolutions (Atlassolutions.com)'.
    Anyhow, the popups from AVG started to annoy me, so I began to run my arsenal of Antiviruses, antimalware, and antispyware programs.
    Currently, I have installed :
    Spyware Doctor Free Version
    Spyware Blaster Free Version
    Malwarebytes Ant-Malware Free Version
    Avast Antivirus Free Version
    Windows Defender (system)
    Ad-Aware (but I dont' bother because it can never connect to server)
    Comodo Firewall Free
    Spybot Search and Destroy Free
    SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition
    AVG Free 8.5

    I'm almost never able to find the ATDMT cookie with my antiviruses =.=
    Although it does appear often when I'm running my Spyware Doctor.
    AVG, Superantispyware, and Spyware Doctor are the only ones that even pick up ATDMT.

    But even when I remove the infections at the end of the scan, within a few minutes, it's back up and giving me tracking cookie messages.

    So I decided to check out my registry, to try to track where its' coming from, since it's a reoccuring cookie that's got to be in my registry.

    Ctrl+F'ing through my Registry Editor for "atdmt" I find the following :

    A string called 'anon', and it's Value Data is :
    @fmt|A=A357EB59FA5ABE7C6727DE55FFFFFFFF&E=88b&W=1|bing.com;atdmt.com|Sun, 17-Jan-2010 23:22:17 GMT|

    A string called 'nap', and it's Value Data is :
    @fmt|V=1.9&E=831&C=mkQbOV2Oj48JWyiC51ZFfnEIdehpKM6Qp39Hm7O5kawbzrm-BRkcig&W=1|bing.com;atdmt.com|Fri, 09-Oct-2009 22:22:17 GMT|

    A string called 'LastKey', and its' Value Data is :
    MyComputer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\P3P\History\atdmt.com

    And a folder called atdmt.com located in my History folder, but I'm quite sure it's only there (with a bunch of other random bad sites) because they're the same ones that I've entered into Internet Explorer's block list.

    Anyhow,
    I've got the hijackthis here :

    First of all, you're running two AV programs (Avast, AVG), which is NO-NO.
    One of them has to go, preferably AVG, has to go.
    If you decide to get rid of AVG, use AVG Remover: http://www.avg.com/download-tools

    When done, post fresh HJT log, and we'll go from there.

    What's wrong with using both?
    I'm not like, arguing, Im just wondering :P
    And, AVG seems to be the one that regularly picks up the cookie.. but Avast seems to be the one that alerts me of trojans (when I get them).
    Which would you suggest I trash?

    Running two AV programs is asking for unpredictable conflicts sooner, or later.
    I suggest you trash AVG, using AVG Remover.
    I have to tell you, that I was AVG user for many years, until ver. 8.0 came out.
    It became bloated application with number of problems.

    Alright, I'll remove AVG then. And I've got to restart after.
    But, removing AVG wont' cause it to release any of the quarantined items...right?
    Just double-checking :P

    No. It should remove a whole AVG, including the vault.
    After running remover, go to Program Files, and see, if AVG folder is still there.
    If so, delete it.
    On a top of it, when you're done, we'll run another tool to make sure, your computer is clean, and no AVG leftovers are running around.

    You're very welcome

    Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

    **Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
    1. Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.
    2. Close any open browsers.
    3. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
      • Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
      • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

      • Close any open browsers.
      • WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
      • Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
      • If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.
    4. Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    5. When finished, it will produce a report for you.
    6. Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.

    **Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**

    Make sure, you re-enable your security programs, when you're done with Combofix.

    I disabled all of my antiviruses / firewalls (almost forgot about teatimer, aha)
    Ran Combofix
    But it said I didn't have something called "Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" installed..and it offered me the option for Combofix to download it, so I selected yes. But it was unable to connect to the server, so I just started all over again and selected 'no' and let it do it's thing.

    Here's the report that it gave me :

    So, it looks like couple of "guys" were hiding there.

    1. Please open Notepad
    • Click Start , then Run
    • Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.

    2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:

    Code:
    File::
    c:\windows\system32\A70694FBD7.dll

    Folder::
    c:\documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware

    Driver::

    Registry::

    RegLockDel::

    3. Save the above as CFScript.txt

    4. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.

    5. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), please post the following reports/logs into your next reply:
    • Combofix.txt
    • A new HijackThis log.

    But now, for some reason, I think my Comodo Firewall Pro isn't working properly.
    My Comodo Application Monitor, Component Monitor, Network Monitor, and Application Behavior Analysis has all been turned off, and I'm unable to turn it back on =\

    1. Please open Notepad
    • Click Start , then Run
    • Type notepad .exe in the Run Box.

    2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:

    Code:
    DEQUARANTINE::
    C:\Qoobox\Quarantine\c\windows\system32\drivers\cmdmon.sys.vir
    QUIT::
