Windows 7 desk top icons
Something unexpected happened, all the icons on the desktop vanished. The "Show icons" command did not bring them back. I had to restore the system to get the icons back. Just curious if anyone else had this problem and are there any easy fix?

Can't say that I've heard of that one happening to anyone else. It sounds like one of those one-off glitches to me.

SuperSparks: Thanks for your reply, let me run something else by you. Tried to reload Vista Home Premium and got a blue screen, twice. Is Windows 7 preventing this? Vista is on drive C: and Windows 7 is on drive L.
Another tricky Vista bug?

Nope, if you are installing on different partitions there shouldn't be a problem. You may lose the dual-boot menu for Win7, but we can fix that afterwards. What BSOD are you getting?

The BSOD was kind of general, check your newly installed software or hardware, which obviously was no help. I gave up, when the final Windows 7 comes out , I will reformat and kill Vista.
Thanks for you response.

Another Windows 7 bug?
All of a sudden IE8 stopped working, opens and freezes instantly.
Anyone have any clues? Firefox, Opera and Safari work just fine. Is MS trying to make their browser popular?
