[RESOLVED] Winamp Player
Hi
I must have clicked on my winamp player and
moved it a little too hard and it disappeared off screen
Now I can click the icon but the player does nt appear on the
desktop
Its up cos the icon is in the toolbar.
I click on the toolbar icon and the play list appears so
I can get any of my favoourites to play ... radio etc
but the player must be somewhere off screen
a bit like sometimes a web page is off the side and you struggle
to drag it back
Only this time I cant see hide nor hare.
Ive rebooted today and the same thing is happening
I can't get at the winamp player to increase volume etc
thanks for any advice.

Try right clicking the winamp icon on the taskbar and selecting "move" then hold the left mouse button down and drag winamp back to the main screen.

Or use the arrow keys after clicking "Move", if you can see an edge to drag.

thanks, it finally resolved itself
I was having a problem with lines on the tv pic
I surf on my tv with a cable from tv out to
the video input on my tv
I took the cable out and then put it back
but no picture !!! panic !!
I had to take the comp to the repair shop
He said the graphics card had gone and so fitted
another one ... cost £67 !!
Problem now is that there is no s video output on the card
so I am forced to go to comet for a new TV
cost £440 !
Ah well its time I got into these new LCD TVs
My question now is...... there are 3 sockets on the new
graphics card one is HD one is the standard blue one
and one is like the blue size but with some extrat pins on the right
Im going to need a cable to go from the comp to the TV
at least 10 ft long.
Comet only have a 2 metre cable so Im going to have to
go to Maplins
would you go for the HD cable ?
Im confused right now
Thanks for any advice

Ive no idea make of new graphics card
I just know there are 3 sockets in it
The guy in comet said I should go for
the hd socket and get the cable to fit that.
that cable would give full output from the net
and anything that is in hd format.
Im gonna need a 10 foot cable, hope Maplins
can supply it.

Click Start, click Run, and then type "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotation marks).
Click the + mark in front of Display adapter.
Post what it says there.

Now click on the + in front of the Display Adaptor and post back the info
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Amazon is a good place to get an HDMI cable (or long VGA / DVI cables). Comet, Curry's or Maplins will rip you off so badly that your wallet won't stop squealing for a month

THANKS for the advice but its come a couple of hours
too late,
Ive just got back from Maplins
3ft hd cable............... £40.00... ouch !
Back to comet ....samsung 32" HD TV.....£399.oo
but there's a wow factor surfing the net on this TV !
its just brilliant
when I think of all those years using the old tube TV !
its chalk and cheese.
Everything is crystal clear
Add to that the £67 .00 for supply and fit graphics
card and its been one expensive week !
