Spyware scanner scans folder over and over

I have ran this Superantispyware thorough scan and it has went to two of my desktop folders three times and scans them. Why does it keep going to these two folders and rescanning them over and over? Very annoying. Three hours and I just cut it off.

So these folders are on the desktop only and have various backup docs in them and pictures.

I was watching the files scanned and noticed that it did one folder and then went to another folder and then back to the orginal folder again and scanned the whole folder. I saw this three times.

I don't think, you're gonna get some definitive answer to your question.
Run Malwarebytes as a crosschecking tool.

Would not be surprised if it was using different parameters each time it makes a pass.

Better Safe than SORRY is my preference.
