refill printer cartage HP C3100

hi i have refilled my cartages and when i put them back in the printer it says there empty. i have heard i need 2 rest the cartage but i dont knot how to do this if anyone can help it would be much apprechated. i person said to uninstall it and then re install it i have done this and still no luck. i also only seem to be getting yellow ink out of the colour cartrage and no blue or red.

i have the HP Photosmart C3100 all in 1 printer

This has been known to work on some HP printers. Maybe it'll work on yours:

1. Remove ALL cartridges
2. Power off the printer
3. Unplug the power cord
4. Wait at least five minutes
5. Plug it in, turn it on, and replace the cartridges
6. Pray

Also, if those cartridges you refilled are the initial cartridges that came with the printer........that does not work. Those cartridges will not work after a refill because they are different than the cartridges you buy to replace the empty initial cartridges.
