Motel/Hotel Wireless Internet
My Daughter called, she is staying at a hotel for work (RX tech.) Telling me she can't get Wireless Internet there. And Could I help her out. I couldn't!
I had her do CMD > ipconfig /all and low and behold,
NO
DHCP server and DNS servers being sent out of the routers
Sure like to know who dosen't know how to set up a wireless network..
I've stayed at hotels that had the same set of problems.....

Normally, I have found they used older netgear products that will not work with Vista.
I got with the manager and explained to them what was the problem and they took care of things in a day or two.
Normally I was offered a room that had a wired connection.
Motels had the same problem.
My experience anyway.
IPV6 , which the older wireless routers can not handle, could be disabled to see if it is the cause.
