LG Plasma + old sansui dvd/vcr combo

I've got an old model Sansui DVD/VCR combo that works great after all these years......Got new LG PLasma screen TV a couple of years ago, and now I can't seem to get the VCR mode to work properly (no prob w/ DVD)...... I change input to AV1 on TV, but only get sound from the VCR - I can't get the picture to come thru...... have tried changing channels on the TV and also changing the channel setting via the Sansui player....to no avail.....

I have some old VCR home tapes, that I need to burn to DVD - Worked fine on old TV, but with the new one.........

Any help appreciated!

The vcr side only works with the composite output (rca connector) or the antenna/75ohm connector on either ch 3 or 4.... not the s-video output if that's what you're using.
