    Driver Detective or similar

I have a friend who purchased Driver Detective and uses it frequently since he has a side business of building computers. He has put Driver Detective on several machines so he can get the latest drivers for the machines he builds. He ran into a snag the last time as it now says he has used all the licenses and cannot use his registration key any longer.
Is there a similar program out there that he can get so it can be used over and over on different PC's. Paid or free?
    Thanks

If he likes the app he could probably extend the license...I'd imagine that he has to pay per machine to install it...

I always go by-> New Drivers don't always mean better drivers....And from time to time I will only update the drivers for my video card.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I will let him know about extending the licenses. Maybe somone else will come up with some other ideas so he has alternatives.

If one can ID the hardware then you can find the drivers. For IDing I use PC wizard. It will also ID the drivers some of the time. But it don't give you access to driver downloads like DriverGuide or Driver Detective does. I also use DriverGuide(paid version) for driver ID and download. I D/L to my desktop then transfer them to the machine I'm working on.

IMHO, drivers shouldn't be updated unless there is some problem.
