[RESOLVED] Windows Scrolling Issue
I just upgraded to a 500gb hard drive over the weekend and I now find that when I am on the web that when I scroll the pages with either the scroll wheel or the scroll bar on the right side the pages kind of jump down rather than a smooth transition.
With my previous hard drive this did not happen. I do not understand whay this would happen just by changing hard drives. Does anyone have a fix for this? Iwould appreciate any help with this annoying issue.
Thanks

Check if "Use smooth scrolling" is enabled in Tools/Internet Options (Advanced tab in IE, Advanced/General tab in FF)

When you changed hard drives did you also reinstall Windows?
Improper Video Card drivers can cause scrolling issues..
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I checked in IE and FF. Smooth scrolling was not checked in IE but was in FF. Now that I have checked off in IE it is still not working the proper way on either.
When the new HD was installed we did imaging with Acronis 2009. So no, I did not have to install Windows again.
I am also having the same issue with Outlook 2007. As I said before, I did not have these issues previously.
Any suggestions?

If it seems to be updated in waves down the screen, then the video driver may have become corrupted or reverted to a generic Windows internal driver, as Steve has indicated. The resulting slow screen updates give laggy scrolling.

I went into IE and FF and un-cheked smooth scrolling and now evrything seems to be fine even Outlook. So I guess I am OK.
Thanks for the help.
