Connection Manager malfunctioning?
Somehow I got two connection managers on my systems.
One is from my ISP. The other one, I think, is from a MSN service pack I downloaded to fix a problem on my computer.
The problem is that the second connection manager, NOT the one from my ISP, keeps popping up at odd times. I don't seem to have an icon for it on my desktop, at least I can't find one.
It pops up and asks me if I want to connect to the internet when I don't want to go there.
I have to click CANCEL several times before it will go away.
Does anyone have any idea how I can find this superfluous connection manager on my system so I can delete it?
If you need more details, I will try to provide them.
I do know, though, that it came with that fix. And I don't know how to separate it from the rest of the other parts of that fix so I can get rid of it. I have searched for it and the only connection manager listed is the one from my ISP.

Click on "my computer">dail up>
whatever you don't use remove
if you not sure what you are using and what is the annoing dailup connection, take a look for properties i.e. phonenumber and check with ISP which one is for them.

I have already checked "my computer, dial up".
There are several listed there, but the one in question is not listed.
The connections that are listed are all from my ISP: Clear.Lakes.Com
The other dial up connection seems to be generic, or something unspecified.
Any other suggestions, anyone?

For win 98 to dial you need dialup connection.
remove whatever you have there and leave only one - yours ISP.

Sorry about the confusion and thanks for trying to help, but I only have several different versions of my ISP dial up listed there. There is no other dial up connection listed there other than the several my ISP gave me. I don't know why I have duplicates, but none of them are the generic one that keeps popping up.
If you or anyone else has any other idea where to look for this other dial up connection I would appreciate hearing about it.
