[RESOLVED] Accessing Word doc title information
Gentlemen:
I moused-over a desktop icon of a Word doc and a Properties type balloon appeared containing a bunch of info on the file:
Type:
Author:
Title:
Date modified:
Size:
The information appeared to have been recorded when I first created the file because the title shown was not the current title.
The recorded title appeared to be the entire first sentence of the original doc and I wouldn't want that information visible to people I might send the doc to.
Etc. Where is that information stored and/or edited?
Thanks - rev

Right click the document, chose Properties, then the Details tab. At the bottom of this window is a clickable blue message that states "Remove Properties and Personal Information" when you click on that, another window opens which allows you two choices, and each entry has a blank box for checking.
The choices are : "create a copy of all properties removed" Or "Remove the following properties from this file".

Thanks - I didn't get a clickable blue message but I did find the personal info under the Custom tab. I'm probably on an older version of Word than you (2003).
Done though, thanks!

Mine is 2003 also, but mine is the Student/Teacher version and yours may be the Pro version.
Anyway, you're welcome!
