Resolved [RESOLVED] Windows 7 still is an option during boot

    Hello.
I have Win Xp Pro Sp 3, tried W7 using dual boot, got bored, uninstalled, but still when i turn my pc on the W7 is still there as an option to load, and i dont want it there anymore.

    Short and simple.
    thx

ps i partitioned my drive, and now i cant merge it back, usinf partition magic 8. when done and reboot for changes, it checks the drive, then shows tat the process failed cuz of some bad argument and now i have 410Gb C partition, and 90Gb empty partition where W7 was but i want it back together.

Sounds like you need to repair the Master Boot Record.

    1. Restart your computer with the Windows XP Setup disk in the CDROM drive.
    2. If you are prompted to press a key to start the computer from CDROM, do so quickly. Otherwise it may try to boot from the hard drive.
    3. After a few minutes, you'll see a prompt to press the R key to start the Recovery Console.
    4. When Recovery Console starts, it will prompt you to enter a number corresponding to the Windows XP installation that you need to repair. In most cases, you'll enter "1" (which will be the only choice). If you press ENTER without typing a number, Recovery Console will quit and restart your computer.
    5. Enter your Administrator password. If you don't enter the correct password, you cannot continue.
    6. At the Recovery Console command prompt, type fixmbr and then verify that you want to proceed.

While you are at the Command Prompt, type "fixboot" and "bootcfg /rebuild" without the quotes too.

When I try to bbot from cd, it thinks for a long time, then says that it cant find NTLDR.
Strange, I used that cd to boot and install windows on my very first fresh build and now it rejects it?

    Edit:
Nevermind! It worked, but I had to use my Russian Windows XP bootable cd Coorporate edition

    Thx guys
