Question How to remove Windows 7?

    Hi.
I got Windows XP Pro SP3 on one partition and Windows 7 Beta on another partition of single hard drive.
Before I used to have one big C:\ partition where I installed Windows XP on.
Then I heard of Windows 7 and thought why not give it a try and partitioned my big partition into 2 so I have some for Windows 7.
So now I have C:\ where my Windows Xp is installed and E:\ where my Windows 7 is.
Now I want to get rid of W7 and unpartiotion back my harddrive to one partition C:\ with Windows XP.
How can I do this without reinstalling my Windows XP, and getting rid of the Boot menu.

I already obtain Partition Magic 8.

    Thanks.

You will need software that will allow you to wipe the partition and merge it with your C partition.

Wiping Windows 7 is the easy part as you can go into My Computer-> left click the partition and format. You can also use your own Windows XP inbuilt free partition software.

    *
    Go to Start
    *
    Click on all programs
    *
    Open run
    *
Type in “compmgmt.msc” (without the “”) and click on OK or press enter.
From there it should be obvious.

For software to use go to:

    and
    http://www.tech-faq.com/Partition-Software.shtml

I have heard good things about Easeus but have not used it myself.

Just make sure that before you start you back up your system as no matter how safe the programs say they are problems do happen.

Also you may need to restore your MBR if you get a dual boot menu. Doing a Fix /MBR command should work but check the correct command and procedure.

    Good luck,
