    IE7 uninstall and SP3

I just found out that IE7 installed before the SP3 slipstream I did a while back was not the best idea. IE7 was doing fine until I did SP3 and then did IE8 beta. I did not like the beta as I was was having little issues here and there so I uninstalled the beta and found that IE7 did not work anymore. So I uninstalled IE7 and went back to IE6 thinking a reinstall would fix it...wrong! Did some research and found if you have 7 on your pc and then do SP3 and change it and try to go back, you can't. Well, if anybody knows a fix for this let me know.

You have to uninstall SP3 in order to uninstall IE7.

I tried that and it does not exist. I even tried to remove it from the recovery console using cd $ntservicepackuninstall$\spuninst without any luck. What I am trying to do is put my hd in a new computer and the repair install is not working although a fresh one does. I suspect SP3 having some issues with my hardware so I am trying everything. I should post in another subject forum I guess

popman--As Broni has said, if you installed IE 7 before installing SP3 and then you decide to uninstall IE7, you will have to uninstall SP3 first. IE7 will not even appear in Add/Remove until you uninstall SP3.
