[RESOLVED] Windows Search Results Reverse Alpha Order
Win XP SP3 IE7
Everytime I do a Windows search and it finds a folder, the files in that folder display in reverse alphabetical order. Files found in a search are in proper alpha order. It is only files in a found folder that are reversed. For example if I search for a 50's musical group "Harptones" it will bring up a folder called "Harptones". when I open that folder all files will be in reverse alpha order. If the search finds only files they will be in proper alpha order.
When viewing files and folders in Windows Explorer they are all in proper alpha order. Only folder files in search are reversed. This is driving me nuts.
Any ideas?

After the search and the folder is open, go to View, Arrange Icons By and select Names.
May take a time or 2, but it should be remembered after that.

I fixed it by myself.
In the search results window - Tools/Folder Options/View/Reset All Folders. Then I reopened the search, selected View/List, then Apply To All Folders. It worked like a charm. Now all search folders are in proper alpha order.

If you like locking things in, that works.
Above your first post is Thread Tools. That is where you can make the thread resolved.
I marked this time.
