McAfee Site Advisor "Improvement"
I'm using Firefox but I suspect this is or will apply to IE as well.
If you use McAfee Site Advisor, which I recommend, the latest version adds some "features" you may not want, such as setting Yahoo as the default search engine.
Just restart your browser. It will display a dialog box that lets you deselect the features you don't want.

Yes, it applies to IE. Apparently, McAfee has moved SiteAdvisor to one platform. It now installs a permanent, always running service, even for Firefox. (Before, it only used the service for the IE version.)
Because of this bloated change, I'm now open to alternatives. Anything close to SA that is free, trustworthy and doesn't noticeably affect browsing speeds?

On a top of it, its icon in a status bar is bigger.

Thanks Broni. Am now using WOT. So far, so good.

It looks like Google search loads faster with WOT, than with Site Advisor.
So, bye, bye to the last decent application from McAfee.
