    A Christmas Carol...

Whatever your Christmas viewing preferences may be, any Connoisseur of Christmas will tell you that your #1 holiday movie you must see is the 1951 version of "A Christmas Carol", starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge. Sorry....but no other version even comes close. If you have not seen it, then you are really missing out. The only one that comes in a distant second is Mr. Magoo's animated version. Unfortunately, Mr. Magoo really belonged to a different generation and for the most part is lost to the present one. But there are still those of us who remember him from the kiddie Saturday matinees.

So...run, don't walk, to your nearby retail store and pick up a copy of the 1951 version. I guarantee you will not regret it.

I saw that one with Scott and I couldn't shake the feeling that all I was watching was "Patton Hates Christmas"...

I agree... the Alistair Sim version is by far the best. He was in a lot of great British movies.

Another great Christmas movie is "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. I look forward to watching it each year.
The true test of character is not how much we
know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do
