System user in Documents and settings but not in User accounts
I bought a used laptop and am cleaning it out and found that a user account in Documents and settings with system tied to it is not in the user accounts applet. There is an Adminstrator and another name along with All users, but I want to get rid of the other name. How do I go about that if it is not in the User Accounts, it wont delete? I could just do a fresh install but It is a real paint to go and find all of the drivers and the proprietary programs for the laptop. I have tried delete, rename and moving it but can't do it.
Break it, then fix it!!

I would try to boot in safe mode and delete it from there. If that doesn't work, you can use a program like unlocker to get your access back and delete it.

I tried the Unlocker and it did not work. I did delete it in safe mode but it came back in regular mode. I got irritated at it got rid of the whole laptop. Problem solved!!
Thanks

That's another way to do it (although it probably wouldn't have been my first suggestion )
