    is it worth it

    I was thinking about getting a high end AGP video card as the price has gone way down ( due to lack of sales I guess ) and 2 gigs of matching ram for this computer Ill post my specs in a sec But, I dont know if its worth it. I would like to upgrade my CPU but I cant locate any for this ole thing, What do you guys or girls think about the ram and new card for this? Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

    Two more gigs wouldn't really help much. XP 32bit software only utilizes up to 3.25GB of memory. As for finding a newer faster 754 cpu, those are few and far between, since the coming of the dual cores. Might be better just to build a new computer. And those video cards you looked at, were they AGP or PCI-e's? I'm running the same motherboard you have but am using a AMD 64bit 3500+, with 2gigs of memory and a Nvidia 7600GS but it won't play the newer games.

    AGP P.L. good to see you again. BTW my ram is kinda miss matched.

    As long as the ram is working, that shouldn't matter. But like I said, even a newer cpu and newer video card, these won't play any of the newer games. Better to build a new system.

    Best be figuring on a good system this time. Some games require what we would call a screamer. So check the game requirements for a starting point.
