    change video card question

    winxp pro media centre Sp3
    HP7360

    video card is nVidia 6200 PCI express x16 slot.

    Want to change this for a Radeon HD4670.
    Which according to Saphire site says it is single Slot Active Cooler?
    I dont have any free slot to spare for a thicker card.

    I would change the power supply to a 600W which I picked up.

    Any input, would be appreciated, before tearing apart system.

    I would go into Safe Mode and uninstall the current Nvidia drivers first. Other than that it should be straightforward enough.

    NewEgg review's have said that the card fan is "Noisy"
    At present I enjoy the quietness!

    Noted that I would have to change the fan to a Zalman VNF100.
    adding extra cost of $35.00+++

    Any suggestions to not go with HD4670 and replace with ???? that would be "quiet" or is a fan controller the way to go?


    PS. Something simple.... seems to get compounded!
