The Newer Keyboards these days
I finally decided to buy a new 20 dollar Logitech keyboard to replace my old PS 2 keyboard....for one...because a couple of keys on that one was gettniga little "spongy" as if the springs were getting weak.
Do the newer keys on keyboards tend to last longer or be more durable?

Sorry, but that is the one brand I stay away from. Mostly because of their bad drivers everyone posts about.
I use the basic M$ keyboard and optical tail mouse combination. KB is about 4 -5 years old. Mouse about 3.

Me thinks it's a little late to ask if they last a long time since you've already made the purchase
And at 20 bucks - does it really matter
I use kind of slim Dell keyboards I get brand new for five dollars.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Logitech is OK from the hardware point of view (though I infinitely prefer Microsoft keyboards). As Train says, their drivers are dire, but as you are only using the standard keyboard drivers that isn't important here. The keyboard should be good for at least 5 years anyway, mine is that old, though admittedly it doesn't get used anywhere near as much as the MS one on my main rig.

One of the problems I've seen with the really el-cheap'o keyboards is the symbols wear off rather quickly.

I like the regular Logitech classic keyboards. It's lasted me about 2 years so far. I like the feel of the buttons most of all.
