    Dell Inspirion 1150 Boot problems

    Have a problem with booting a Dell 1150...... have a pop up that says SHLWAPI.DLL. missing.... also cannot open windows........ cannot even go to safe mode........ there is a download tool to repair the missing registry file, but accessing windows or anything at this point is trouble......

    Best bet, do a repair install.

    I learned today that the laptop has no OS available........ the laptop was a gift, and it was not sent along..... its in another state.......
