    XP Pro repair

    Have a Dell Inspirion 1150 which lost the schlwapi.dll file. Can I use any copy of xp pro to repair or does it have to be the original on laptop? I know it will ask for the cd key and the party failed to drop it off this morning. All I Have is Microsoft Office. Guess they thought this was the OS. I have xp pro myself on my system.. I do have the schlwapi.dll file on a thumb drive but I cannot access windows........ safe mode either.......... Thanks

    yeah any one will do. as long as its an original xp pro cd even from other brands its just the dell cd will install your drivers auto and you don't have to activate or register your xp later
