im just looking for a laptop not a high tech desktop but a laptop in the range of 1500 bucks

im not looking to play stuff like crisis but just the basic games not a 4000 $ worth of hardware

This latest expansion to the OCZ Do-It-Yourself Gaming Laptop line allows users to design their own powerhouse mobile system, and this time in a 15-inch, Intel Centrino notebook format. For good, all-around, all-purpose performance you'll do fine with a Dell laptop with an Intel CPU. I use AMD on all my desktop homebuilds, but my laptop is an Intel Dell (an older, souped-up Latitude D505) and it does everything I ask of it. Do yourself two favors, though:

• If buying new, try to find XP on it or buy on that is backward-compatible to install XP. Vista is a pig on a laptop.
• Buy a wired mouse to use with it. Touchpads are strictly for use on your lap, not a tabletop or desk.
