New CPU core i7 - soon to be released

    http://hothardware.com/Articles/Inte...rrived/?page=2

Intel has said that that Nehalem represents the biggest platform architecture change in the company's history to date. While there are some big changes ushered in by this new platform, the Core i7 processors are not entirely new and do borrow heavily from Penryn.

This processor, btw, was developed right here in Intel's plant in Israel.

I just checked my bank account to see if I could possibly get this chip. I think I'd better wait...maybe when they finally come out with a 36-core chip I will be able to buy one. I didn't know ATM machines could laugh at you....

Actually, if the prices drop as steeply as they did with Core 2 Duo, which they should, then it should be quite cheap in a year from now.
