    Installed programs

    I've installed a few programs,
    Farcry 2
    Driver Detective
And another (Can't remember the Name)
But none of them have been in my Start > Programs.
I've had to go in and find them and make shortcuts to them.

I have installed other Programs and have them show up!

    Any ideas?

    What is the question?
Some programs, do not "install". They just run from a .exe file. They do not place themselves in the Start list. Other programs, which do install, do not put themselves in the list either.

...and some programs (not too many) won't create shortcuts. You have to create them manually.

Take another look at your Start Menu. You should have a folder under there for Ubisoft (Far Cry) and also an icon for Driver Detective (I just downloaded the trial version and it put an icon in the Start Menu and the desktop.
Game installations will often install into the Start Menu under a folder that has the developers name, not the name of the game. You have to open the folder to get to the exe file of the game.

I reinstalled Driver Detective and it added itself into the menu.
    But no FarCry 2/Ubisoft

Did you check under Games>Games Explorer? If it isn't there, then you will have to add your own shortcut as the others have explained. But I'm 99% sure that had to be a glitch in the installation. It's not like Ubisoft to not install an desktop icon and/or folder in the Start Menu.
