D-Link DI-524 wireless router problems
Hi,
I'm having trouble with my wireless connection on my new laptop. I have been successfully accessing (wireless) internet with D-link DI-524 router hooked to my cable DSL modem on my old laptop (XP home edition).
I recently bought a new laptop (Dell inspiron 1525) which has windows vista operating system. I can see my wireless network (with full strength) at "connect to network dialog box" in vista system but it does not get connected . The massage I get when I try to connect is as follows:
Wireless association failed because Windows did not receive any information from the wireless router or access point.
However, it works fine with my old laptop with XP Operating system.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Asanga

That is a major problem with Vista and old wireless routers.
Find out if there is a new firmware update for your router, or get a new router.
Hit that mess many a time while traveling last year.
