Amic email backup freeware or shareware?

I have been running Amic Email Backup 2.0 for months. All of a sudden it tells me...............
"Amic Email Backup is shareware, you were able to try it for 15 days. If you would like to continue using it, please purchase the full version!"
As far as I know it is a Freeware. I looked and I can't even purchase it.
Anyway, I uninstalled and re-installed but it is giving me the same message.
May be I should do something with the registry to be able to install again.
I love the program and use it alot.
    Thank you

Thank you for your answer Steve. I'll write to them.
By the way, I uninstalled it by using Revo, it removed (as far as I know) all traces of the software. As I said, when I re-installed it it still gave me the same message. How does this happen?

Nearly all software that has a trial version will leave a coded entry, usually in the registry, of when it was first installed. They don't get deleted when the program is unistalled so the trial remains used and you need to purchase the program.

Don't know about that program but I have seen a few others in the past that despite being freeware will eventually stop working or become trialware after a period of time. Usually that happens when the freeware program is no longer freeware and they offer it for sale and the previous versions also become trialware.

If the program phones home for updates or dat files then it can be changed from free to trial easily.

Makes you wonder if they treat their paying customers the same way. Not encouraging.

Well, still no answer from Amic Email Backup software company.
But I discovered, tried and tested "Outlook Express Backup V6.5" Free software.
    I can recommend it.
