    facebook help

    why is the facebook server so bad? sometimes it is slow ect and sometimes won't let you connect and chat stops working why is this? all other pgs are fine

    More likely what is happening is they probably are getting so many hits that the server can't keep up. I have a facebook account but I don't use it like i should. If it is what all the kids are doing maybe they haven't planned for the increase in traffic.

    Facebook is an extremely busy site. With 110 million active users, 2-3 terabytes of photos uploaded daily, one of the largest MySQL installations anywhere and serving up some 15 billion photo images per day, I'm sure they have rooms full of servers scattered around the globe and must expand frequently.
