Motherboard Name ECS MCP61PM-AM
I am a little bit confused.. I am running Windows Vista x64 and i am planning on
reinstalling my windows.. and i can not find the Drivers for my motherboard which is Motherboard Name: ECS MCP61PM-AM Gateway computer GT5432.. somebody on this forum explained how to obtain the drivers for this motherboard
-------------------
The thread is about a Gateway GT5400 series computer that uses the ECS MCP61PM-AM Rev 1.0 motherboard. This motherboard has the GeForce 6100 chipset.
Go to www.nvidia.com
Click Download Drivers.
Select product Type GeForce
Select GeForce 6 series, Windows Vista X64, and English (for motherboard)
Click Search and it takes you to your drivers.
--------------------
So why my question here is.. if i download "GeForce 6 Series" are those
motherboard drivers or what.. because i would also need to install my graphic
drivers later on for 8800 GT SSC card and in this case i would have to go then to GeForce 7 Series (For Graphic Card) and GeForce 6 series for (Motherboard drivers) can somebody explain what exaclty i should do i dont want to confuse the system.

Ok from the way it sounds you have a motherboard with onboard grahics using a 6100 nvidia graphics chipset.
You also have an add on graphics card that is an 8800GT right?
Well if so, you are using the 8800 and the 6100 is disabled so, downloading a geoforce 6 series driver would only be for the onboard video card, which you are probably not even using...does that sound correct??

This site has those mobo drivers..scroll down to Nvidia MCP61 System Drivers. However, referencing the Nvidia link you have in your first post, the GeForce 6 series refers to graphics drivers....but there is also a button for motherboard drivers. Click on that and see if your mobo is listed. You should find the latest driver package.
