Help: Recommendation for making a vid w/stills
I would like to make a few short vids with music and text interwoven using jpg files from my digital camera or copied from web sites. I have NO clue what program I can do this with. My desktop at home runs Win 2K and my laptop runs Win XP. Can anyone guide me to the best program as well as a tutorial on how to use it? I do have iTunes with files loaded on my laptop, also.
Thanks,
Jonathan

By most users recommendations I've seen, ProShow Gold is likely your best bet. It's not free but it is pretty easy to use and it works.

Also, have a look at this website..
http://www.videohelp.com/
lots of tutorials and suggestions on software, much of it free, on what to use for many types of video editing.
Another consideration is if you have Microsoft Office installed you can make a Powerpoint presentation with text, graphics and audio.

Thanks all.. A Power Point isn't what I'm after since this needs to flow like a movie even though it's composed of stills.. Will check out the software though..

Using XP, I've used windows own Movie Maker for what you want to do. Though you'll need a standalone dvd burner software because XP's burner software only burns cds.
You can add text and music to your stills and presentation is a slideshow. I've made several for my sister using photos I took of her flowers, adding music and text.
