    Smile Good free editing suite??

    Hello all, can you advise me on what is the best free Photo editing suite where i can add music to the photo slideshow and Text and maybe transitions etc

    If building slide shows is the key goal, a freebie that has had some decent reviews is from Microsoft. Photo Story http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...y/default.mspx

    (I know you asked for free but many feel the best is ProShow Gold from Photodex http://www.photodex.com/products/proshowgold/ Not free but very good...

    One little point I should have mentioned is that to burn your slide show with PhotoStory, you'll need a separate burner program (it doesn't include one.) Since there are several good free ones out there, I overlooked that...

    Irfanview will play an mp3 during a slide show. You can add text with graphics editor. JL
