    Yep. Whilst you have the HS off, check that it is dead flat. If you have some wet & dry, place a sheet on a mirror or similar, then put the HS on it and move it in a figure of 8. It will show almost immediately if the whole surface is contacting.
    A convex or concave contact area is obviously undesirable.

    Well I just spoke to the customer and explained the situation. Seems she might want to buy new (used) processor.

    No good doing that if the hs is not flat.

    It's not a HS problem, because I've tried a different HS which didn't make a difference, and I tried another processor which did.

    Well....it sounds like a bad processor to me. Perhaps the core is beginning to blow.
