N router questions and recommendations please
I have a Netgear router N type router but I will have both G and N products using this router. Will that affect any of the speed of my N products (like how if there are B and G products the speed goes to B)? Also, can anyone recommend any USB type N wireless adapters?
Thank you

Match the router brand to the card you get and make sure match to specs.
Mixing brands can cause you to end up wishing you had stayed with the original B nic at times.

802.11n isn't actually a standard yet -- manufacturers are building kit based on drafts. As a result, it's a really really good idea to get all your not-quite-n kit from the same manufacturer at around the same time.
Having 802.11g clients on a pre-n network will reduce the performance slightly, but not to the extent that b cripples g.
Safe computing is a habit, not a toolkit.

Not a fan of USB wireless adapters.
With that said,
If intent/necessary,
Ditto to previous suggestions of matching brands.
Definitely not a guarantee it would work but
Should minimize compatibility issues.
Cheers.
