    WZCSDR2.exe error

I get the above error at startup. I think it is to do with a dlink wireless pci card.
I can't stop the error although the card is working fine.

A Google search of the file name lead to another forum that pointed to this:

    Attention:
If you are experiencing problems with a D-Link adapter after upgrading to Windows XP Service Pack 3 click on the following link and download the appropriate driver to work-around Service Pack 3 overwriting a D-Link .dll file.

anne--Did you mean WZCSLDR2.exe ? What does the error message say?

See the third and fourth references about the lack of DLink drivers for Vista.

    Anne...
I'm afraid, that WZCSDR2.exe is NOT a legit file, WZCSLDR2.exe is, but if you say, there is no "L", I don't like that file...

Last time I encountered a similar situation,
I removed all the DLink software,
    Rebooted the system,
Double checked that all DLink references were gone,

Extracted the DLink driver download into a tempory created folder,
Then installed the driver via Device Manager and directed Windows to look inside the newly created temporary folder.

Above process resulted in only the wireless network card/adapter driver being installed
    and
Left out the DLink utility and such.
    Cheers.

    References,

    The encountered situation,
It was a clean install of a slipstreamed service pack 3 WindowsXP on a standalone system.
I never connect a system until all drivers, firewall and antivirus is installed.

When you Google WZCSDR2.exe, it shows only 5 entries, one from here, so I assume it's misspelling. When you search WZCSLDR2.exe, it gives a lot of hits about DLink.

There definatly is no L in the message.
I do beleive it to be a dlink error.
The utility software has been taken out and i think this error is because it cant find the utility software.

Have you looked in msconfig->startup tab for any reference to the dlink software?
