[RESOLVED] [XP] [Vis] monitor failure (E172FPb)
My Dell monitor has failed. It shows a blank screen except when I push the on/off button, then it flashes for just an instant. I put a spare monitor in its place, and it works fine.
My question is, do I repair the failed monitor or toss it?
The system is Dell Dimension 4600.

It's impossible to say for certain. But as a general rule I would say that monitor repair is usually uneconomic.

That's an older Planar product, judging by the part number. Newer monitors are so much better now, it's not worth trying to fix.

Planar, one year warrantee item, toss it.
